Biography
Damien Rattler is an Americana singer-songwriter, musician, composer, producer, performer and recording artist who hails from Toronto, Ontario. He is an inventive Roots artist who curates music and lyrics that offer incredible depth and imaginative imagery. Threaded by a sense of melancholy, Damien colours universal themes including traveling, love, heartbreak, hope, isolation, resilience, and transformation.
The self-taught musician has been composing music using primarily an acoustic guitar. Damien utilizes the piano, an electric Gibson ES 335 (Bloozy) and a Gretsch G9221 Bobtail Steel Resonator (Viola). He also plays two Taylor acoustic guitars: 214ce SB DLX (Dahlia) & a 12 string 362ce v class (Dodeka). Damien is also a seasoned harmonica player specializing primarily in blues, country, and folk music.
Damien Rattler released his first EP in 2015 and five singles in 2016 alongside rhythm and blues band The Electric Soul Circus. His first solo album: “Heartache At Sunrise” enchanted audiences in December 2022. Damien's sophomore acoustic album, “Rambling Flame” was released on September 16 2023.
Characterized by his smoky vocals and powerful live performance energy, Damien Rattler continues to wow audiences far and wide through his storytelling finesse and charismatic showmanship. The artist has created a unique style of his own in the music world. Driven to write and perform his own songs, Damien aspires to leave a lasting legacy.
